1 Who We Are

VixFlow is a freelance management tool created and operated by Sultan Zaman, an individual developer based in Bangladesh. VixFlow is not a corporation or registered company — it is an independent software product.

2 Data We Collect

The honest answer: we collect nothing.

VixFlow does not have a backend server, database, or any cloud infrastructure. There is no account system, no sign-up form, and no data transmission to our servers — because we have none.

The data you create in VixFlow (clients, proposals, invoices, expenses, projects, and settings) is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data:

• Never leaves your device (unless you export it yourself)
• Is not accessible to us or anyone else
• Persists as long as you don't clear your browser data
• Can be deleted by you at any time

3 Local-First Architecture

VixFlow is built on a "local-first" principle. This means all data operations happen directly in your browser with no server involvement.

The practical implications of this architecture:

• VixFlow works offline (no internet connection needed for core features)
• Your data is as private as your device itself
• If you clear your browser data, your VixFlow data is gone — export regularly
• Data does not sync between devices unless you export and import manually

4 AI Features & Claude API

VixFlow's AI features (proposal writing, invoice generation, etc.) use the Claude API by Anthropic. To use AI features, you must provide your own Anthropic API key in Settings.

How your API key is handled:

• Your API key is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key vixflow_settings
• When you use an AI feature, your prompt is sent directly from your browser to api.anthropic.com, authenticated with your API key
• This API call is between your browser and Anthropic — VixFlow is not involved in the transmission
• We never see, store, or have access to your API key or the content of your AI requests

5 Cookies

VixFlow does not use cookies. We use localStorage for data persistence, which is different from cookies — localStorage data is never transmitted with HTTP requests and is never accessible to external domains.

If you visit the VixFlow marketing website (index.html), we do not load any cookie-based analytics, advertising scripts, or third-party trackers.

6 Third-Party Services

VixFlow loads the following third-party resources. These are loaded from CDNs and may set their own cookies or collect data per their own policies:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — Loads the Outfit and Inter typefaces. Google may log font requests per their Privacy Policy.
• FontAwesome CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — Loads icon fonts. Subject to Cloudflare's CDN logging.
• Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) — Only when you use AI features. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

We do not load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, or any other tracking scripts.

7 Data Security

Because your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security. We recommend:

• Keeping your operating system and browser up to date
• Using a strong browser password or lock screen
• Not using VixFlow on shared or public computers
• Exporting and backing up your data regularly
• Keeping your Claude API key private and not sharing it

We cannot be held responsible for data loss resulting from browser cache clearing, device failure, or unauthorized access to your device.

8 Children's Privacy

VixFlow is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we collect no data, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used VixFlow in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us at zamansultan64@gmail.com.

9 Your Rights

Because we collect no personal data, most GDPR and privacy rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) apply directly to you — since you control your own local data. Specifically:

• Right to access: Your data is in your browser's localStorage. Open DevTools → Application → Local Storage to view it.
• Right to export: Use the Export function in Settings to download all your data as JSON.
• Right to delete: Clear your browser's localStorage to permanently remove all VixFlow data from your device.
• Right to portability: Your exported JSON file can be used to import data in the future or migrate to other tools.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Significant changes will be noted in the Changelog. Continued use of VixFlow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
